The UCLA Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine Faculty Practice offers diagnostic and treatment expertise by world renowned faculty. Services are available at standard medical fees charged in the UCLA medical community.
The UCLA Orofacial Pain program uses a team approach to patient care that includes a comprehensive examination and an individualized treatment program. We emphasize conservative approaches: physical therapy, medication management and behavioral (stress) management. The strength of our program is our team of internationally known faculty including dentist, psychologists, physical therapists and consulting physician experts in orofacial pain.
UCLA Oral Medicine faculty provides comprehensive evaluation and management of a wide range of oral soft tissue diseases.

Treatments by Oral Medicine faculty includes:
- Oral Cancer Screening and early detection
- Lichen planus disease
- Pigmented lesions of the mouth
- Salivary dysfunction (dry mouth)
- Oral manifestations of HIV infections
- Burning mouth syndrome
- Aphthous and other ulcers
- Vesiculo-bullous lesions, such as pemphigus and mucous membrane pemphigoid
- Infections (viral, bacterial and fungal)
- Halitosis diagnosis and treatment
